NOTES
He was the Receiver of Duchy of Lancaster in 1353. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P) for Lancashire in 1361. In 1369 Sir Richard was appointed a Commissioner to enforce certain statues; including the Statute of Weights and measures; and the Statute of Labor, which fixed wages of manal laborers in Lancaster. He again held the office of Member of Parliament in 1377.
He was appointed High Sheriff in 1375 by John of Gaunt and held that office through 1377.
